Fees

The Psychology Clinic operates on a fee-for-service basis with fees being used to support the clinical, training and outreach activities of the clinic. The fee is payable at the completion of each visit by credit card, cheque made payable to “UNSW Psychology Clinic”, or by correct cash. No change can be given for cash payments. The fee structure varies based on the consulting clinician, as shown in the tables below.

Fees for adult and child cognitive assessments includes interview, test administration, feedback session, and a written report. Child Psychometric Assessment also includes 4 free follow-up therapy sessions (50 minutes each session) if needed. The series of follow-up sessions must commence directly after the assessment report is finalised. If this is not possible, clients can be placed on the waiting list to commence paid therapy sessions at a later time.

The therapy fees provided are for a standard 50-minute session. Concession rates apply to full-time adult students & holders of government-issued concession cards. For consultations with the Clinical Psychologist Registrar, Medicare rebates may be available if referred under the Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). Full payment will be collected for each session and you can then present your receipt to any Medicare office to lodge a claim for the rebate. Some private health insurance policies offer rebates for psychological services and rebates would vary based on the level of cover. Please check with your private health insurer to confirm any rebates available to you.
